New Galarian Legends Revealed
As part of the Crown  Tundra DLC for Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield, players will be able to catch some new Legendary Pokémon. Five of these Legendary Pokémon are related to Legendaries from previous main series titles. These Legendaries are Regieleki and Regidrago, who are related to the Regi Trio Regice, Regirock and Registeel from the Hoenn Region. As well as Galarian Forms for the Legendary Bird trio Articuno, Zapdos and Moltres from the Kanto Region.

Regieleki is an Electric Type Regi with the Ability Transistor and is classified as the Electron Pokémon. It’s body is said to be made entirely out of electrical energy. As such it absorbs the electrical energy within electrons to live.

Regidrago is a Dragon Type Regi with the Ability Dragon’s Maw  and is classified as the Dragon Orb Pokémon. It’s body is made from crystallized dragon energy. This energy is at it’s most dense in it’s core. Legend has it that Regigigas was unable to complete building this Pokémon and if it ever is it will bring destruction to the land leading to it being sealed away.

The Galarian Forms for Articuno, Zapdos and Moltres are said to appear in Crown Tundra once every few decades. These birds are highly migratory. Galarian Articuno is Pyschic and Flying Type, Galarian Zapdos is Fighting and Flying Type, and Galarian Moltres is Dark and Flying Type. These three are the first Legendary Pokémon to receive Regional Variants. It is also currently unknown whether any other Legendary Pokémon will be receiving the same. Galarian Articuno is classified as the Cruel Pokémon and has the ability Competitive. Galarian Zapdos is classified as the Strong Legs Pokémon and has the ability Defiant. Galarian Moltres is classified as the Malevolent Pokémon and has the ability Berserk. As with all new Pokémon I look forward to trying them all out come their expected release.
