Review: Mega Man Battle Network 6
Released on November 23, 2005 for the Gameboy Advance, MegaMan Bettle Network 6 is the sequel and the sixth and final game in the Battle Network series. The story starts with Lan telling his class that his father was transferred out and now him and his family need to move to Cyber City. However life doesn’t remain peaceful for Lan and MegaMan. World Three or WWW has returned and is causing havoc once more. This time around Wily has help from a new group of NetNavis. These NetNavis are Colonel, BlastMan, DiveMan, ElementMan, JudgeMan, and CircusMan. After CircusMan captures one of the Cybeasts, MegaMan proceeds to capture the other one. You find out that Baryl was raised by Dr Wily and that is the reason that Baryl currently works for Dr Wily. The death of Baryl’s father brought back Dr Wily’s thirst for revenge on the Net Society. As a result Wily created Iris, a military control Navi. Iris had a change of heart after meeting Lan and learning that humans are not the blood thirsty killers she was originally led to believe. In the final battle against Wily and the Cybeasts, MegaMan’s body is taken over by the Cybeast and at risk to themselves Colonel and Iris merge in order to not only defeat the Cybeasts but to destroy them once and for all. The game will then show us what happens to the characters in the future. Lan and Mayl are now married and have a son named Patch. MegaMan nmow spends most of his time occupying the never ending battery copy bot Iris used to spend time in the real world. Dex is now the Mayor of ACDC, and Yai now leads her father’s company. Mick, Tab and Chaud have also found various forms of success as well. This game marks the end of the Battle Network series, and although I and many others wish and hope for a 7th game this does not change the fact that Battle Network 6 is an amazing game that I do hope you all find just as enjoyable as I do if not more so.
